I am Serhii, call sign UNCLE SERIOZHA.

I have been a driver my whole life since I was 18. I have five children, the youngest of whom are now 12 years old, as well as five grandchildren, the youngest of whom is three years old. 

I started my military career in May 2020. Why did I decide to join the military?
Because I wanted to and still want to protect my children and grandchildren, my country from the aggressor, so that my family can see a happy future in a free country and under peaceful skies. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, my separate mechanised brigade, in which I served, was located in Volnovakha, Donetsk region. 

One day, during a combat mission, I jumped out of the vehicle and got injured, which I did not immediately pay attention to because I didn't have the time for it then... 

Over time, the pain in my leg only got worse, and excessive physical strain aggravated the problem. Walking became harder and harder every day. 

Eventually, when any painkillers stopped working, I turned to doctors for help. After examination, it turned out that I had no joints in my knees at all.

The only way out was immediate knees replacement.

My dream is to undergo surgery as soon as possible, undergo rehabilitation and return to the army to continue fighting the enemy. And I need your help to be able to do it.
