In 2013, I was in a car accident. I had half of my foot amputated, and the remaining part underwent a skin graft. The damage was very serious.
I walked on crutches for 1.5 years and with a cane for another 5.5 years. Despite this, all the time I worked as a mechanic at a car service station. I decided not to give up my profession. After seven years of suffering, I decided to have my foot amputated and a prosthesis fitted.
I went to the war as a mechanic when I already had 11 years of experience in the profession. Vehicles are constantly breaking down in peacetime, let alone in combat. Mechanics are always needed in war.

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, I joined the Freikorps volunteer battalion from the very first days.
Unfortunately, in July 2022, due to excessive strain (a full combat kit weighs 15-20 kg, and I also started running), the prosthesis wore out and the stump socket broke. That's the first time when I turned to the Citizen Foundation. They quickly replaced the part, and I returned to military service.
Almost a year has passed, the workload remains as before, and I need a new stump socket again. In addition to it, the foot also burst, and it needs to be replaced.
A prosthesis in war, like a car, is in constant need of repair.
