Rehabilitation at the Ukrainian Scientific and Clinical Centre for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation

As part of the Rehabilitation for Cyborgs program, the first three defenders underwent inpatient rehabilitation at the Ukrainian Scientific and Clinical Centre for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation (USCC).

Serhii Komarov sustained a gunshot shrapnel blunt wound to his right forearm, which resulted in contracture in the right elbow and radiocarpal joints. The defender was provided with a range of rehabilitation services to restore the motor functions of his upper limb and his self-care skills.

Vadym Bilyi and Oleh Huts were severely wounded and received amputations of their right lower limbs at the level of the shin.

The defenders underwent training in stump care and prosthesis use. They have mastered walking on the prosthesis and received therapeutic procedures to help them get rid of phantom pains and improve their overall physical condition.

We thank the TET tea brand, a regular partner of the Citizen Charity Foundation for supporting the Rehabilitation for Cyborgs program.
