The Citizen Charitable Foundation, together with the Patrons of Health Charitable Foundation purchased and handed over three muscle stimulators to the State Non-Profit Enterprise HALYCHYNA Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centre, where wounded soldiers with amputations undergo rehabilitation.

The myostimulation devices will improve the quality of rehabilitation services. Myostimulation is the process of using a pulsed current to affect the muscles of the body. With the help of a special electronic device - a myostimulator - electrodes are applied to the muscles that need stimulation, through which electrical impulses are delivered.
During the myostimulation procedure, under the influence of the electrodes, the muscles actively contract.
Myostimulation helps to restore muscle structure, improves the tone of blood vessels and body muscles. By acting on the nerve endings located in the area of electrode application, the electronic simulator helps to reduce pain.

The main value of such procedures lies in the fact that such devices deeply work out those muscle groups that are difficult to exercise in a gym.
The average treatment time is 20-30 minutes. Thanks to our joint efforts, more patients of the HALYCHYNA centre will receive quality care.
We thank our partner British-Ukrainian Aid for the financial support.
