Creation of a bank of component parts for prostheses

Creation of a bank of component parts for prostheses - the Liners for Cyborgs programme

Under the patronage of the Presidential Commissioner for Rehabilitation of Combatants Vadym Svyrydenko, the Citizen Charitable Foundation and the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities are implementing the Liners for Cyborgs programme, which will create a reserve of component parts for prostheses (liners) at domestic prosthetic enterprises.

Today, there are a large number of soldiers and civilians in Ukraine who have suffered complex amputations. This reserve bank allows to make prostheses without waiting for a permanent set for the patient, so wounded soldiers can start learning to walk with the help of a prosthesis as soon as possible and maintain their strength and confidence.

The most urgent need is for liners from the world's leading manufacturers ALPS (USA), Ottobock (Germany), and Ossur (Iceland).

COLLECTING: UAH 535 000.

In June 2023, 16 liners for lower limb prostheses from ALPS (USA) were transferred to create a reserve bank of liners at the Vinnytsia State-Owned Experimental Prosthetic and Orthopedic Enterprise, namely

- gel liner for lower limb stumps with tissue coating ELFR-6HP (2 pcs);
- gel composition liner for lower extremity stumps with tissue coating ELFR26-HP (2 pcs);
- gel composition liner for lower extremity stumps with tissue cover ELFR28-HP (2 pcs);
- gel composition liner for lower extremity stumps with tissue cover ELFR32-HP (2 pcs);
- gel composition liner for lower extremity stumps without tissue cover ELPX24 (2 pcs);
- gel composition liner for lower extremity stumps without tissue cover ELPX26 (2 pcs);
- gel composition liner for lower extremity stumps without tissue cover ELPX28 (2 pcs);

We thank the ALPS Ukraine partners for their assistance!
