The CITIZEN CF, in cooperation with the Student Headquarters, held a practical tactical medicine session for employees of the Evropasazh business center

On July 1, the Citizen Charity Foundation, in cooperation with the Student Headquarters, held a practical tactical medicine session for employees of the Evropasazh business center.

The event was conducted by veteran Andrii Holopapa. At 18 years old he went to defend the country, was wounded in Donetsk Oblast, and lost his left leg. Today Andrii is the leader of the Student Headquarters, a volunteer, and a person who systematically teaches civilians basic pre-medical first aid skills.

The participants of the event learned to apply a tourniquet — first on themselves, then on a neighbor. They practiced stopping bleeding, applying a bandage, and immobilizing a limb. Each block began with a brief theoretical part, after which they immediately moved on to practice.

Throughout the entire session, participants actively asked questions and discussed real cases from the news — situations where a person nearby could have saved a life, but had neither the knowledge nor the equipment.

At the end, a Q&A session took place, where Andrii and his colleagues answered all questions and shared their experience.

Most people have never held a tourniquet in their hands. At the same time, critical situations such as the consequences of shelling, road accidents, and emergencies can occur anywhere and at any time. The minutes before medical personnel arrive often decide everything. That is why such sessions are about being ready to act.

The event was also dedicated to raising funds for Oleksandr Pustovid (call sign HRUSHA) — a defender who suffered an ischemic stroke during service, underwent several surgeries, and currently needs a specialized rehabilitation course.

The Evropasazh business center made a charitable contribution of 20,000 UAH toward this fundraiser. Event guests also had the opportunity to contribute to the fundraiser.

The total fundraiser amount is 120,000 UAH.
