Soldier Dmytro, call sign "AMSTERDAM", participant of the Citizen Foundation program Education Despite the War

As a result of an injury, Dmytro's right leg was amputated above the knee. In his case, we did not help with prosthetics, everything was done at the expense of the state run program. Currently, Dmytro has a permanent prosthesis, he is undergoing rehabilitation and is already planning what his future life will be like, which is why he became interested in the educational program for the wounded run by the Citizen Foundation.

When we met Dmytro, he immediately surprised us! The man was the only one who wanted to attend all the courses we offered! We asked him why he was so eager to learn. And Dmytro told us about the way he was wounded, how he did not lose heart, because "what's the use of whining when it already happened", how he found the inner core he had not felt before he was wounded, how he met his fiancée in the hospital. And how he came to the conclusion that he no longer wanted to hide "in a shell", where everything was satisfying and where he had no desire to achieve something more.

Now he wants to get the most out of life, because the life he has left is not easy.

Dmytro has decided to learn English at the "Professional" language school and study IT at Sigma Software University Global.

Dmytro also has a dream, which we found out about when we asked him about his call sign. A little embarrassed, he replied: "Well... don't be surprised... it is Amsterdam"
"Imagine that! I don't know why! I've never been there, I know almost nothing about Holland, but I have a dream - to visit Amsterdam one day!"

Dear friends!

We appeal to everyone who reads Dmytro's story! Perhaps there is someone among you who is involved in travel agencies? Let's make Dmytro's dream come true together!
