I am Ukrainian and proud to be a Marine of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
My brothers-in-arms are defending the front-line on a left bank of the Dnipro river in Kherson region.
After my injury and amputation I act as an instructor, I help my brothers-in-arms and train Marine Corps servicemen.
In 2020, as a platoon commander, I went to the East of Ukraine to defend the homeland from the invaders.During a combat mission, I stepped on a mine and lost my lower limb. I had 9 surgeries.
During the entire treatment I thought about only one thing - If it does not break me mentally, then nothing in the world will.
After 2 months I started walking on a prosthesis, and in another month started to run, skate and ride a bike.
I am running 2024 London Marathon to support as many as possible seriously injured brothers-in-arms with amputations.
My goal is to share awareness and raise funds for seriously injured Ukrainian servicemen who have lost limbs.
The whole world must see the strength, indomitability and courage of our people. No enemy and no event can defeat us. I hope that those who see it will not be indifferent and will be able to give a helping hand to my country.
