Roman Kashpur: "I did not perceive my amputation as a weakness. I perceived it as a strength; it only strengthened my spirit, hardened my character, and actually forced me to fight further with my laziness, my fear, and my inner "no" to overcome them. It pushed me toward new heights and new victories for Ukraine and my family, and all those who are seriously wounded and depressed. I challenge everything Russian aggression has brought on our people. That is why my message is to fight, fight and once again fight with my own self and win."
"I understand all the responsibility of the marathon on April 23. I want to be as helpful as possible to my army and the seriously wounded guys through motivational fundraising support. So my mental focus is set on fighting; we will do everything possible and impossible."
