Amendments to the legislation governing implementation of prosthetics at the expense of the state budget.

Important information!

On 07.10.2022 amendments to the legislation governing implementation of prosthetics at the expense of the state budget came into force.
Thus, according to the order of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine No. 253 dated 16.09.2022: "Provision of rehabilitation equipment to combatants shall be carried out at actual cost without exceeding its threefold limit price".

Citizen charitable foundation has optimistically welcomed the adopted changes, as this will help speed up the prosthetics of our defenders with primary prosthetic devices.

• What exactly do these changes mean?

The amount of money allocated for prosthetics under the state program has been tripled (according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated April 5, 2012 No 321).

• What happens next?

Our society should focus on comprehensive assistance to the military who lost limbs. We must understand that assistance with modern prosthetics and rehabilitation does not end with primary prosthetics. Prosthetic devices of increased functionality based on the latest technologies, and special products for practicing sports, including bionic prostheses, the cost of which can exceed UAH 2 million, should be available to everyone who might want to have them.
