Soldier Oleksii Bobchynets

I am an active serviceman in the Ukrainian Navy, Captain of 3rd rank. At the age of 22, I went to defend the country. I served in the 137th Separate Marine Battalion. I lost my lower limb when I tripped an anti-personnel mine in Pavlopil.

Thanks to sports, I did not break down after a serious injury, but rather began to do better physically - I took part in the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington and joined the Ukrainian national team at the Invictus Games 2020 and Warrior Games 2022.

I can't imagine my life without running, so after my injury I decided that I would definitely get back on my feet and run. I believe that sport is the most effective way to return to normal life after an injury.

Sports loads quickly wear out the liners, without which the prosthesis cannot be used. The amount of funds provided by the state is not enough, so I appeal to charitable donors for help in purchasing additional liners.
