Soldier Artur, call sign SLIPA

During the full-scale invasion, Artur served in the National Guard of Ukraine under a fixed-term contract. His comrades had given him the call sign SLIPA. In early 2023, he could have resigned, but he continued to serve in the National Guard of Ukraine of his own free will.

On 23rd August 2023, while performing a combat mission in the area of Serebrianske forestry, Donetsk region, he sustained a shrapnel spinal cord injury. Arthur was rescued by his comrades, was administered first aid and evacuated to a stabilisation point, where his injuries were treated, stabilised. Afterwards he was sent to Dnipro.

At Mechnikov Hospital, they removed a metal fragment from his spine and sent him to Vinnytsia for treatment. He spent several weeks in intensive care there, and it was the Vinnytsia specialists who began his rehabilitation. Then Arthur was transferred to the Lviv hospital for treatment.

Currently, the twenty-four-year-old fighter is immobile, but with great faith and confidence in his recovery and speedy healing, he is undergoing rehabilitation in Modrychi town.

He has a long way to go in his recovery, and while he is completing it, he needs a specialised bed. It is with this issue that his family appeals to all those who are not indifferent.
