I am a military man and I served in the South of Ukraine. Like all servicemen, since February 2014, I have been through a journey: first the ATO (anti-terrorist operation), and then the JFO (Joint Forces Operation).

In September 2014, our unit was redeployed to the south-eastern part of Donetsk region: it was the time when our troops were regrouping and a single line of border defence was being formed (the border had been shifted by then with the "help" of regular Russian troops). And we, like many other soldiers, volunteers, national guardsmen, and ordinary patriotic citizens living in the eastern regions, undertook this journey. To this day, our country and people are still at war with damned russia, only on a different scale.

In October 2014, while performing a mission, I injured my knee and hip joint. I immediately injected myself with painkillers, which relieved the pain, and over time I felt better and continued to serve in the Armed Forces.
At that moment, there was no time or opportunity to chill out, to think only about myself, because every person counted.
Time passed quickly, and old injuries were constantly reminding of themselves. In 2018, I underwent a long treatment in an Odesa hospital. But soon the pain returned. The joints could not withstand the military loads. I was again treated in hospitals in Mykolaiv and Vinnytsia.
Over the past year, recurrent pain, difficulties in movement and restrictions on physical activity have significantly reduced the quality of my life. Unfortunately, I can no longer move without a cane. The doctors unanimously said that it was time to radically solve this problem. I need arthroplasty and rehabilitation of my left hip joint. In addition, the right hip and knee joints need long-term treatment.

Life gives unexpected "surprises" and one should take them as they come! Life goes on, one must live!
There are many things to be done. We need VICTORY! We need to rebuild Ukraine and develop the UKRAINIAN STATE, IDENTITY, LANGUAGE, BELIEFS AND ARMY!
Preoperative tests showed that Peter has a high blood sugar level. In connection with that, the operation was postponed.
The exact date of the operation will be known after the control tests.
One of our foundation's longest fundraising campaigns has been successfully completed — for the purchase of a left hip implant for defender Petro, callsign BORODACH.
There were many obstacles along the way. Initially, the military unit did not allow Petro to leave for surgery. When the opportunity finally arose, his health condition worsened, and the doctors postponed the procedure due to medical reasons.
However, all the difficulties are now behind us! Petro has successfully undergone surgery and is currently undergoing rehabilitation. During the operation, the surgeons used additional components, which increased the cost of the hip replacement, but thanks to your support, we were able to raise the necessary funds!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this campaign. Your help is invaluable to Petro and to all those fighting for our collective victory!
