"MEMORIES OF A VAGABOND".
That's what our friends called us. Because from the first weeks of the full-scale invasion, my friend Vadym and I started carrying humanitarian aid from western Ukraine to the places where it was most needed. Namely, to the de-occupied towns in Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

And, of course, we brought the aid to our defenders!

Thanks to our caring compatriots, we had our vehicle repaired! Many foundations and citizens came forward to help our defenders and of the people who are in need of essential supplies! 
 

The military units were shocked by the efficiency of collecting and delivering the necessary items to the positions!

The organisation "Diyevi Darnychany" took an integral part in the aid by distributing social aid packages in the Darnytsia district of Kyiv. Of course, in the first months of the disaster, it was very difficult to determine the logistical routes to the destination. But the desire to help our defenders and civilians prevailed.

We covered more than ten thousand kilometres almost without stopping for rest.

With each trip, we were drawn by the needs closer and closer to the demarcation line. One day we were asked by the Ochy Armii Foundation to deliver reconnaissance drones for aerial reconnaissance along the frontline, and the decision was made instantly...

Unfortunately, the last mission was not in our favour. 

It was a matter of life and death...
 

The team that was in the vehicle are all alive (and that's the main thing), with minor injuries, military medics evacuated everyone to Bakhmut to the hospital.

I was transported in intensive care. From what I remember, there was a collision. Bakhmut. Hospital, anaesthesia. Train, evacuation - that lasted for two days.

Lviv. Emergency hospital - I spent two months there.
 

Then four extremely complicated surgeries followed. A long rehabilitation path overseas. A loss of time.

Now I'm back in Ukraine and I think I can be useful. However, I still need to solve the problem with my hip joint, which was caused by the accident. Doctors are convinced that to put me back on my feet, I need surgery to replace the joint.

Preliminary cost of endoprosthetics UAH 95,000 

The amount we are raising has been increased due to complications caused by late treatment and arthroplasty. From March to August, the patient was treated with a load on the limb but without the femoral head, which led to a terrible condition of the acetabulum*, so doctors had to perform plastic surgery and install a cup with a special coating.

* The acetabulum is a cup-shaped depression on the lateral surface of the hip (pelvic) bone that creates the hip joint with the femoral head.
