Soldier Serhii Chervonyi, call sign “BANDERA”

My name is Serhii Chervonyi, born on January 16th, 1976. I was mobilized on 01.03.2015. As soon as I joined the Armed Forces, I was immediately sent to the Donetsk region.

A year after mobilization in 2016, I gained the status of a war combatant.

During my service, I was wounded several times. While performing a combat mission, my right lower limb was injured. Thanks to the prompt actions of my comrades-in-arms and the professionalism of the doctors, my leg was saved and I was able to return to service. A little later I got another injury in Popasna. I was shell-shocked. But none of these events stopped me, I was treated and returned to my military unit.

On November 28th, 2018, I signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I took part in combat operations in the Donetsk area as a member of the Joint Forces Operation.

But, unfortunately, I had to resign from the Armed Forces of Ukraine due to hip problems that arose as a result of physical strain during service and injuries sustained.

Now I need a complete hip replacement of both hip joints.

I dream that I will live a full life again, walk freely, and that this terrible pain will no longer bother me.

Everything will be Ukraine!
