My name is Volodymyr, callsign CHAKLUN. I joined the military voluntarily. I chose to defend my homeland on my own initiative because I understood — the time to act was now, not when the enemy would be closer to my home…
I began my service in April 2024 in the Kherson region, in the direction of Kozachi Lahery. By August — I was in Donetsk region, Pokrovsk axis. There was everything: dust, tension, exhaustion. But there was also a deep inner certainty — we are here for a reason. We are holding the land that rightfully belongs to us.
On December 6, 2024, everything changed. After completing a combat mission, on the way back, our vehicle lost control and crashed — it all happened in an instant. Darkness and pain. Both femurs broken, right knee, left shoulder, six ribs. I couldn’t move.
My brothers-in-arms saved me. Quickly, skillfully — first to the stabilization point, then Pavlohrad, Dnipro, Kyiv. And now — I face a different front. The front of recovery.

Today, I’m already on crutches, taking my first steps, climbing stairs. But my legs still don’t fully obey me — contractures limit my movement. My arm is also not fully functional. But I won’t give up. My goal is clear — to return to the ranks. To my combat family. To the place where I’m needed, where I can once again be useful and destroy the enemy who, like a cancerous tumor, is trying to strangle our country.
My rehabilitation specialist says I’m motivated and have every chance of recovery. But for that, I need specialized rehabilitation at the “Western Rehabilitation and Sports Center” of the NKSIU. That’s why I’m turning to the Foundation for help.
I know I can do it. I will confidently stand on both feet again and return to where my brothers-in-arms are standing today.

The fundraiser for the recovery of our defender Volodymyr is officially closed, thanks to our dear friend from Poland — Paweł — who once again came to the rescue and this time contributed €2,500 to fully cover the cost of specialized rehabilitation.
We are sincerely grateful for such support. It means a lot — not only as financial aid but as a true act of humanity and solidarity. In moments like this, it becomes especially clear that war is not only about weapons, but also about the people who stand with us, even if they are thousands of kilometers away.
Volodymyr has already begun his rehabilitation course at the “Western Rehabilitation and Sports Center.”
His goal remains the same — to recover and return to duty.
This is one more small, but meaningful, victory.

After the course, the center’s specialists assessed his progress as positive and promising. However, they also recommended continuing the recovery process. Given the complexity of his injuries and the progress already made, an individualized plan for a second 30-day rehabilitation course has been developed — to maintain momentum, further restore limb function, and give CHAKLUN a real chance to return to duty.

That’s why we are launching a new fundraiser for the second 30-day rehabilitation course at the Western Rehabilitation and Sports Center of NCSIU.
This isn’t just treatment. It’s a focused effort to return a soldier to full life to his comrades, to fulfilling his duty.
It’s not about maintaining the status quo, but about real preparation for returning to service.
CHAKLUN isn’t stopping — and neither are we.

Volodymyr has successfully completed his second 30-day rehabilitation course at the "Western Rehabilitation and Sports Center" of the NSISC.
And this entire important stage of his recovery became possible thanks to the company Umka-1, which fully covered the fundraiser.
We sincerely thank you, friends, for this support. This is not just covered expenses — it is another chance for a soldier to restore his strength, functionality, and step by step return to his comrades, to the ranks, to the place where he feels his mission.
Chaklun has already gone through two rehabilitation courses. There are results, there is progress, there is hope. And most importantly there are those who do not leave him alone on this path.

Umka-1, we thank you not only as partners but as people.
Your action is an example of how Ukrainian business can become a strong support for those who defend our land. This kind of support brings Victory closer not with loud words, but with real deeds.
CHAKLUN does not stop. And we are right by his side!
