REHABILITATION IN THE KYIV REHABILITATION INSTITUTE
The Kyiv Rehabilitation Institute is an outpatient rehabilitation facility aimed at providing a range of rehabilitation measures aimed at restoring a person's resources and returning him or her to a normal lifestyle, taking into account his or her personal potential.
The clinic's activities are implemented by engaging a multidisciplinary team that works in such areas as orthopedics, traumatology, neurology, cardiology, and psychological assistance.
Since May 2022, the clinic has been actively implementing rehabilitation for war victims.
The Institute's team takes on the most difficult cases and provides comprehensive care to the wounded. Our first common patient was Oleksandr Vykhruk, who lost 3 limbs.
Oleksandr's recovery process is very long.
At this stage, specialists have restored the functions of the lower limb, which were lost after the injury and strokes suffered. His general physical condition has improved. Now the prosthetics of the lower limb has begun. Oleksandr is already learning to walk on a training prosthesis.
But there is still a lot of work ahead.
Doctors, rehabilitation specialists, physical therapists and massage therapists of the Kyiv Rehabilitation Institute are doing their best to return Oleksandr to an independent active life.
