A deep bow of gratitude to our friend from Poland, Paweł Woźniak, who sent €6,000. Thanks to this support, five Ukrainian defenders who sustained severe combat injuries were able to undergo a full rehabilitation course at the Center for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation (Kharkiv). This contribution became life-saving for each of them, restoring their ability to move, their dignity, and a chance for a new life:
1. Volodymyr Mishchenko was severely wounded on July 26, 2024, during shelling near the village of Kyslivka, Kharkiv region. He lost his left leg, and his right foot sustained serious injuries. He underwent several surgeries, including a re-amputation. His hearing organs were also affected. After rehabilitation, Volodymyr significantly improved his physical endurance, learned to walk with a prosthesis without additional support, and experienced reduced pain and swelling. He now has a modern prosthesis and is returning to an active life.
